Ever since I stumbled upon FilmDoo (Doo is Thai for to watch or see), I’ve been discovering more and more beautiful films. Sure, some are short but I’m 100% sure you haven’t seen them. Well, unless you constantly attend film festivals or follow news about upcoming independent films then you probably know and seen most of their selection. But since I am only able to watch on certain weekends, I am happy with FilmDoo’s selections one of which is the 8-minute film “Rebello” (2009).
This is a classic case of me falling in love with a film even though it only ran for 5 minutes. Yes, as mentioned in my previous film review, short length film have the power to convey their message faster and stronger. In Aaron Palabyab and Pong Ignacio’s film “A Second” (2012), it gave me more than that. But first, let’s talk about the film.
Short films, especially animated, are my ultimate favourite. Despite the short length, these forms have the power to convey their message faster and stronger. It always leaves something on its viewers just like this 8-minute film directed and animated by the British filmmaker Bexie Bush.
