It’s me, Clari. First things first. Welcome to my blog. How are you today? May I borrow a few minutes? Great! I just want to share with you my story.
ClariSays.com was launched on November 19, 2013. I’ve been blogging prior to this but that was in 2013 when I blogged about every topic, some of which I didn’t care about. Instead of feeling fulfilled, I was often confused and stressed. So, I took a break and questioned my intentions for creating a blog.
I created a blog not to just share my views but to also learn more and push my introvert self (once in a while). Ever since I made an intense career change, I became more introverted than usual. Now don’t get me wrong. I 100% embrace my introversion (and my job) but I also have to meet other people and well, see the world.
When I finally decided on a fresh start, it took me a few months to fix everything. Since it was nearing November, I decided to launch it on my birthday. From a massive list of topics, I was down to writing food reviews, film reviews and product reviews (both food and non-food items).
After years of blogging, I finally received invitations to events and foodie meet-ups. 🙂 I’m very happy and thankful to all the wonderful foodies/ bloggers I met. Since we’re here on this topic, I would like to take this chance to inform you that not all posts are sponsored. 🙂 I always add somewhere in the blog post if I was invited to an event or a product was sent to me. Lastly, I only share my personal experiences and views.
Fast forward to 2017
I made some small changes by adding a second section which is a group effort called FoodieViewsPH where you’ll see food and travel-related stories.
I hope you follow my blog and all our social media accounts. Or, you can just pick which one you would like to follow. No problem with me 🙂 but please do subscribe to my YouTube Channel. Besides writing and taking pictures, I also love making videos.
Now that you know my social media accounts and email address, here are a few reminders. On November 5th 2019 while browsing Instagram, I saw a two similar photos. Yes, someone stole my photo. This has been happening to content creators. It’s actually fine to share posts but it is not right to grab photos and post it on social media as if you actually own it.

With that, I have decided to add watermarks again. I used to place one but decided not to because it ruins the photo. But I came to a realisation that it is needed.
There are several ways to give credits to the owner. For instance, a brand re-posts a photo of a follower where they were actually tagged, they always tag the owner. My rule is this:
- If you want SHARE my content (from website, Facebook etc.) you may do so.
- If you want to re-post a photo from my Instagram, you may do so but make sure to tag me.
- BUT if you want my photos, KINDLY ASK FOR MY PERMISSION.
Yes, I don’t have a huge following. I am basically no one to others. But I love and value my work. I do my best to improve my writing, shots, and direction. Look, there have been people in the past who would ask permission to use my photo and I allow them because they simply ask.
Since we’re in this topic, I also have photos on my platforms that are not mine. I always add in the description where I got the photo and/or who gave it to me. I publish press releases here so if you want those photos, ask me first and I will direct you to the proper owner, okay?
