Happy Pierogi Offers Polish Dumplings in The Philippines

Are you familiar with Pierogi? When I first heard this, nothing sprang to mind. I was unfamiliar with the term, so I researched and discovered The Polish Chef YouTube Channel.

Today, I’m going to make potato-filled pierogi, [which are] loved by many [but] made by few.

The Polish Chef

He stated that the Pierogi was created in Central and Eastern Europe. They have various names and fillings, and you can eat them during the holidays or at any time of year.

So, what exactly are Polish Pierogies?

Pierogi are dumplings that are popular throughout Europe. These dumplings are made differently than traditional Chinese dumplings. Pierogies are usually folded into flatter, semi-circular, or triangle shapes, generally made from noodle flour dough and, sometimes, pastry dough.

Pierogi are stuffed in the same way that wide other varieties of dumplings, such as Japanese gyoza or Italian ravioli, are. They can also have savoury or sweet and often contain cabbage, cheese, pork, mushrooms, potatoes, sauerkraut, spinach, or fruits. Pierogies are first boiled before being baked or fried in butter. Then serve it with fried onions and sour cream.

Doesn’t it sound delectable? Do you want to taste some? Happy Pierogi can assist you with this.

Happy Pierogi

Cheesy Pork Spinach (Php150), Cheesy Onion Potato (Php130), Basil Chicken (Php150), Creamy Cheese Tuna (Php150), Cheesy Beef Mushroom (Php180), and Noning’s Recipe (Php180) are among the delicious Polish dumplings available at Happy Pierogi. These are sold in a tub with ten fantastic Polish pierogies plus a container of fried onions and sour cream. Happy Pierogi made use of fresh ingredients, herbs, and spices. Furthermore, each is made to order.

I tried their Cheesy Pork Spinach, which has onions, garlic, and spices, and their Cheesy Onion Potato, which has greens, butter, and spices. They are, indeed, considerably different from the dumplings we are familiar with. Polish pierogies are more flavourful and delicious, especially when topped with sour cream and onions.

It’s worth mentioning that Happy Pierogi’s sour cream has a thin creamy texture and a tangy flavour that complements their offerings perfectly. Each one is packed with delicious fillings when it comes to the Pierogies. Please take a look at the images I took below. Each bite is terrific since there is an adequate amount of stuffing.

But I must admit that the Cheesy Onion Potato was my favourite. Don’t get me wrong. Both are delicious, but the Cheesy Onion Potato with sour cream and onions takes the cake. You have to try it!
