In late March 2022, a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank exploded and ignited a fire in a restaurant on Visayas Avenue in Quezon City. Because the incident caused damage to nearby businesses, those affected were forced to close. Two of the restaurants are among my favourites. These two businesses are located in the same building and were closed for about a month for renovations. The two reopened their doors on May 7th.

I was able to visit my first favourite restaurant, Oliva Bistro Cafe. I’ve written numerous reviews about their food. And every time I go, I can’t say enough excellent things about their cuisine and service. I’m still confident in their cuisine and service years after my last visit.
And I was able to prove that Oliva Bistro Cafe still delivers excellent meals during this visit, which happened on Mother’s Day. They provide excellent service, too. If you’re a regular customer, however, you might notice some new faces. Don’t worry, the Ate we’re familiar with is still around. 🙂
Also, their recently renovated space is brighter. More whites with brown tones and some greens are present. Keep in mind that the building is presently being repaired. They are, however, almost finished. You are welcome to park in the basement. You will be guided by a guard there.
