Need to Power Up? Here’s One HELL of an Energy Drink!

Have you heard of HELL? No, not the village in Norway and most definitely not the place you’re thinking of. I’m talking about the HELL Energy Drink, a 100% Hungarian-owned brand which was established in 2006. The brand dominated the domestic market by 2010 and is now exporting in 50 countries one of which is the Philippines.

HELL Energy Drink has a variety of flavours available in 250ml cans. According to their website, they have HELL Classic, Strong Apple, Strong Red Grape, Strong Cola, Zero Sugar, Zero Strawberry, Strong Focus, Active, Multi+, Ice Cool Pear, Ice Cool Plum, Summer Cool – Strawberry Kiwi, Summer Cool Pineapple Lime as well as some Energy Coffee such as Cappuccino, Slim Latte and Latte.

I recently had the opportunity to try some of their offerings all thanks to @ThePatKidInside and Hell Energy Drink Philippines. Going back, I’m a certified coffee drinker and enjoy brewing coffee at home. Though I love coffee and trying new drinks (non-alcoholic), I can’t remember if I have tried energy drinks.

But after careful research (old Facebook posts), I found out I did try drinking energy drinks twice. It didn’t work out because I didn’t like the taste. After finding out that HELL Energy Drinks offer various flavours, I decided to try them out and see which one I would like.

Yes, I am aware of the effects and that there are certain restrictions when drinking one. The same goes for other liquids such as coffee and carbonated beverages. There is a note in the can which says:

HIGH CAFFEINE CONTENT. Not recommended for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women. Not recommended to drink mixed with alcohol! Not recommended to drink more than 1 can a day!

250ml of the beverage contains 96mg of caffeine that equals to the approximate caffeine content of 1.5 cups of espresso coffee

Keep this in mind when drinking one, okay? Now here are the flavours I was able to try.

This drink contains 20% more than the usual caffeine content of 32 mg/100 ml for an extra energy boost. It also has Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12. No preservatives.

This is the first of HELL Energy Drink’s STRONG product family which was released on the Hungarian market in 2011. It has extra caffeine content with a naturally strong red grape flavour as well as Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12. No preservatives in this product either.

Released in 2017, HELL STRONG Focus help decrease fatigue and exhaustion. This functional drink has 20% more caffeine and contains vitamins C and D as well as Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12, L-carnitine and magnesium. It has crisp mango and orange flavours. No preservatives.

Here’s HELL Energy’s Ice Cool line debut flavour, kiwi. It has a normal quality caffeine content of 32mg/ 100ml with Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12. Hell Energy Ice Cool Kiwi is made without any preservatives.

Another HELL Energy Ice Cool line is available in mango flavour. It contains vitamins A, D and E as well as Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12. Hell Energy Ice Cool Mango is made without any preservatives.

Do you need a little pick-me-up? HELL MULTIVITAMIN contains 32 MG/100 ML CAFFEINE, Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12 as well as vitamins A, C and E. It has 32 MG/100 ML CAFFEINE. Again, made without any preservatives.

Honestly, I can’t drink the Strong Red Grape and Ice Cool Mango. The flavours are way too strong for my taste buds. As per the name, the Strong Apple is also quite strong but I can handle the flavour. But I’m not sure I will want to drink this in the future.

But what I will surely drink again are the following. The Multivitamin does have a strong medicine taste but my mind and taste buds can cope with it. So I don’t mind drinking this once in a while. Next is the Strong Focus. Yes, the drink is strong but the flavour isn’t. It resembles the Ice Cool Kiwi. These two have slight and pleasant fruity flavours which I enjoyed.

Would you like to try HELL Energy Drink? This is available in supermarkets and groceries. Take note, it has HIGH CAFFEINE CONTENT. This drink is not recommended for children or pregnant especially breastfeeding women. This is also not recommended to drink mixed with alcohol! And most importantly, it is not recommended to drink more than 1 can a day.

Stay safe!
