Super Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl

If you’re following my blog, you might have seen my Banana Cinnamon Overnight Oats recipe. (If not, welcome to the blog and here’s the link.) The Banana Cinnamon Overnight Oats is my absolute favourite. But when I visited Ultra Super Green, a shop that sells local and healthy products I found some new addition to my overnight oatmeal.

I actually posted a blog and gave you a glimpse of what’s in my shopping bag previously. Now I will give you a closer look at some of these products and share how I incorporate them into my overnight oatmeal.

The Green Tummy: Organic Dried Goji Berry

This one really caught my attention. I love berries but I never heard of goji berry. According to research, this red berry has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for many years. It has been called a superfood because it is packed with minerals, and vitamins and has high levels of antioxidants. The goji berries help boost the immune system and in weight loss. Lifestyle Gourmet Market: Granola with Mixed Fruits

This pack contains almonds, cashew, flaxseeds, raisins, cranberry, and other mixed fruits. Since granola is crafted from oats with some additional ingredients like the ones mentioned, this is also a good source of fibre. Not only that, but it helps reduce bad cholesterol levels and boost your energy levels. Facebook: Lifestyle Gourmet Market

Greenola: Organic Golden Flax Seeds

Besides chia seeds, flax seeds are also a popular addition to smoothies and oatmeal. That’s because one tablespoon of this provides the body with various nutritional values. There’s omega-3, protein, fibre, antioxidants, manganese and potassium. Facebook: Greenola PH

Baby Cafe PH: Coconut Chips

The amazing coconut often called the “tree of life” is very versatile as it nourishes the body in and out. Pretty sure you’ve heard people using coconut oil as a skin softener, lip conditioner, makeup removal and so on. Basically, coconuts are nutritious because they are rich in fibre, minerals and vitamins. Facebook: BabyCafePH

Clearly, adding these into your overnight oatmeal is very beneficial. Wanna know how I make mine? Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ½ cup rolled oats mixed with granola
  • 1 tsp. flax seeds
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds
  • A handful of Organic Dried Goji Berry
  • ¾ cup low-fat milk (or milk you prefer)
  • Coconut Chips for garnishing
  • Mason jar or bowl if you don’t have one

Simply combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Once mixed, you may transfer it to a jar and place it in the fridge overnight. In doing so, the oats, seeds and berries will absorb the liquid. In the morning, you can eat it as is or add some sliced bananas and add some more coconut chips on top.
