Do you like Sherlock Holmes or Nancy Drew Mystery Stories? Do you channel your inner detective by challenging yourself and engaging in an elaborate mystery room? This new addition to Netflix Original Series will surely broaden your imagination and exercise your mental muscle.
Tackling different mysteries in each episode of this game show, seven sleuths get closer to solving the biggest one of all: What happened to Project D?
Busted! is a South Korean variety show that features Yoo Jae-suk, Ahn Jae-wook, Kim Jong-min, Lee Kwang-soo, Park Min-young, Oh Se-hun and Kim Se-jeong. If you’re a Running Man fan, pretty sure you got very excited when you read Yoo Jae-suk and Lee Kwang-soo. This duo is usually the ones who start the riot but Ahn Jae-wook especially Kim Jong-min are very funny, too.
In fact, all the members or shall we say, detectives are charming making their exchanges so natural and fun to watch. But what really made their show great besides the cast is the script.
In case you didn’t you know, the people behind Busted! are Jang Hyeok-jae, Jo Hyo-jin and Kim Ju-hyeong of Company Sangsang. They are the same people involved in the birth of SBS’s X-Man, Running Man and Family Outing.
Thought at some point the show reminded me of these shows, Busted! is far more detailed and elaborate. As mentioned in the synopsis, the detective tackle different mysteries in each episode. If you haven’t seen even one episode, let me tell you that everything is carefully thought of. Everything has a reason and will come up at the end.
As of writing, Busted! has already shown 8 out of 10 episodes. I can’t pick a favorite because all of the episodes I’ve seen: “Forewarned Murder”, “Treasure Island”, “Kwang-soo, a Murder”, “Messages from the Dead”, “The Last Vampire”, “Battle of the Detectives”, “The Vanished Magician”, and “The Mysterious Gentleman” has the mysterious twists and turns.
However, I can tell you for sure that I am excited to see the end and know about Project D. That is if they reveal it in Season 1. I’m pretty sure though Busted! will be renewed for Season 2 where we’ll know more about Project D and solve more mysteries. (Just hoping here!)

P.S Do you remember the early days of The Crystal Maze, a British game show? I was too young when that started but I dreamt of becoming a contestant and solving all puzzles. Busted! also reminded me of that show specifically Episode 1.
