Spoiler-Free Thoughts on Avengers: Infinity War

I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts on the long-awaited team-up of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy against Thanos. First things first, have you seen it? If not, don’t worry because this will be spoiler-free. 😉

Ready?

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

We were just a few seconds into the film and I already felt the gravity of the situation. As seconds and minutes passed, my mind could not comprehend what was happening anymore because my fangirl heart is being played upon. But I accepted everything that was given to me including the mild comedy and the extreme heartbreak because of their careful storytelling and fast pacing. Yes, it was fast but was properly executed.

Besides that, Avengers: Infinity War also did great in terms of timing. Assembling all superheroes is a dangerous move as it can make or break the film. The good thing about this is Marvel Studios know what they want. Thus, they did not only give their characters the screen time they deserve but also know when to switch from one story arc to another.

Avengers: Infinity War

Though Marvel Studios Avengers: Infinity War is a huge and ambitious film, they were successful in utilizing their well-developed (and loved) characters, introducing the ultimate MCU villain and tying everything together leaving us with an intense punch in the gut! Honestly, I still can’t get over it. 😥 9/10 IMDb

By the way, I was able to watch the Avengers: Infinity War on the first day, April 25 which is the scheduled release for the Philippines. For the love of Avengers, I woke up early to catch the 8:30AM screening. Yes, SM Supermalls opened their theatres early for the Infinity War but only ’til May 1. If you haven’t watched it yet and would like to avoid queues, I suggest the nearest SM Cinema.

P.S For Filipinos, there is a treat towards the end. No, not end credits – but yeah it was a treat. I’m talking about Thanos and giant stairways on the slopes of a mountain. You’ll recognize it when you see it. 🙂

Also, I’m sorry but augh I like Thanos. I understand him. Should I do another review with spoilers? Or, perhaps not a review but more like a rundown with some easter eggs? Oh well! 🙂
