On February 16th, my family and I passed by Ayala Malls Vertis North to check their Chinese New Year activities. There was a bazaar, Chinese Calligraphy and tarot card readings. They also offered mall-goers a chance to mingle with pets from Philippine Animal Welfare Society.
Besides these, there was a mall wide Dragon & Lion Dance which truthfully is the main reason I wanted to stop by. I just love watching this traditional dance. Good thing we were there early because we were able to catch the start of the Dragon & Lion Dance.
Prior to this, I searched online for a Chinese restaurant located in Vertis North. So after capturing their performance, we headed towards the restaurant I found.
Wang Fu Chinese Café
The Chinese Bistro opened its doors on July 2012 but their branch at Vertis North opened in December 2017. Wang Fu Chinese Café serves delectable food cooked in Singaporean – Chinese style. Yes, you read that right! If you love Asian food, this place gives you twice the experience.
If you’re dining with family or friends, Wang Fu Chinese Café offers delicious choices of dim sum, beef, pork, prawns, veggies & tofu, seafood as well as noodle soup. They also have ¼, ½ and whole Wang Fu Hainanese Chicken, Soy Chicken and Wang Fu Signature Fried Chicken.
For this food trip, we tried their Personal Set Meal which comes with Iced Tea as well as unlimited rice and soup.
Tausi Fish Fillet Set
Wangfu Hainanese Chicken Set
Hong Kong Seafood Set
Besides these, we also ordered some Oyster Omelette and Singaporean White Coffee which by the way is on Buy1 Take1. You can get both as hot, cold or hot & cold. I chose the last one.
So how was the food, you ask?
They’re all good. Seriously, they all are! The Fish Fillet and Hainanese Chicken were tender and flavorful. The Hong Kong Seafood Set and Oyster Omelette, too. Of course, I have a favorite and that is the Hong Kong Seafood Set.
But first things first! Though it’s a Personal Set Meal, this doesn’t come with unlimited rice because it is served with egg rice unlike the others. I’m fine with that because the sauce is quite rich and creamy. The sauce along with the seafood is poured over the egg rice. So when you mix everything, it all comes together giving a satisfying flavor you’ll never forget.
I’m 100% sure I’ll be back for this meal and of course, for the Singaporean White Coffee as well. As mentioned, it’s on Buy1 Take1 so I ordered for one hot and one cold. Well, it doesn’t matter which one you choose because Wang Fu Chinese Café’s Singaporean White Coffee is delicious whether served hot or cold.
Are you craving for some Singaporean Chinese cuisine? You’ll find Wang Fu Chinese Café at the Level 1 of Ayala Malls Vertis North. Just look for an inviting open space restaurant with ambient lighting, comfortable chairs and a balanced gray and tangerine tones.
