Osaka Ohsho’s Crispy Pork Teriyaki Set and Osaka Pork Sticks Bowl

After shopping for Christmas decors at SM Home, we decided to check out the restaurants at SM City North EDSA – Food Circuit which is located on the ground floor of The Block. The Food Circuit features a whole group of restaurants. Whether you’re craving sweets, Chinese or Greek food, you can find that here.

On that day, I was craving Japanese food. Unfortunately, my favourite Japanese restaurant isn’t open just yet so Osaka Ohsho caught my attention. We’ve seen the restaurant before but we weren’t able to try their food yet. Seeing that there were still some seats available, we decided to give it a try.

Though simple, Osaka Ohsho features a well-lit, clean and beautiful interior.

For our first dining experience, we ordered the Crispy Pork Teriyaki Set and the Osaka Pork Sticks Bowl. The Crispy Pork Teriyaki Set is completely delicious, especially the gyoza.

Now for the Osaka Pork Sticks Bowl. The marinated pork belly is indeed flavorful. The only problem is: that only 1 out of 3 sticks has a tender pork belly. We really had a difficult time chewing the rest. I was quite disappointed, to be honest, because the meal is okay and sadly, I wasn’t able to finish the Osaka Pork Sticks Bowl.

Btw,  it’s worth mentioning that their House Blend Iced Tea is great! 🙂 It made my day. (Photo not available)

Will we return? Sure! The food we ordered was tasty so we are willing to try their other dishes. Osaka Ohsho offers a wide variety of Gohan Sets, Chahan Sets, Curry Sets, Fuwatoro Sets as well as Teppanyaki, Yakimono and Noodles. I just hope we’ll have a better dining experience in the future.

Happy eating!
