Buffets are delightful; however, they’re not my style. If I want a certain food, I’ll order it and eat just that. But I CAN and WILL break the barrier if one, the food and ambiance is great and two, the occasion calls for it. And when you say occasion, only one thing comes to mind – Vikings Luxury Buffet.
Celebrations will never be the same once you’ve experienced the Vikings’ way. The Philippines’ largest buffet restaurant features a cornucopia of flavors which means great food adventure and unlimited enjoyment with the family, friends or colleagues. Not only that, but Vikings also love and know how to make their patrons’ day more special.
In fact, they have various promos all year round. For this trip, we availed their Birthday Promo as we celebrated my grandmother’s 82nd birthday.
I tried to book a weekday lunch for three persons at the Vikings – SM North EDSA branch online three days before. Unfortunately, it wasn’t available. Since I really wanted to take my grandmother to Vikings, I checked every single day and finally I was able to book the day before her birthday.
Despite that, booking was fast and easy. Once you fill out all the necessary details, you’ll receive an email which you need to check and confirm. Then you’ll receive a text message from the Vikings branch.
On the day of our reservation (her birthday), we went to that branch early and I went straight ahead to the reservations section. Seeing that we have a senior with us, the guy who ushered us picked the perfect spot. It was close to the food, drinks and dessert island. 🙂
It was my grandmother’s and ninong’s first time at Vikings. I was so glad that we were seated at that area. It was really convenient especially for my grandmother. Moving on to the cornucopia of flavors, I must say that my grandmother is difficult to please and buffet isn’t her style, too. But she loved and enjoyed the food.
Who wouldn’t? Though it’s my third time at Vikings, it never fails to impress me. The food and selection of drinks are massive and great; not to mention, the ambiance. Even if there are a number of people, it wasn’t distracting because of the table arrangement and overall set up. Another point goes to cleanliness and of course, the Vikings’ way of making their patrons’ day even more special.
If you’ve been to Vikings, you already know that they would go to each celebrant’s table to sing Happy Birthday. Well, they prepared an even more fun celebration. All as in ALL of the staff presented a dance number, two small groups paraded and then cakes were given to each celebrant.
To sum up my grandmother’s 82nd birthday, here’s a short video. If you want to see the dance number, head on over to 1:38. BTW, so sorry. That part is shaky because of a Pokemon and I was caught off guard! 🙂
