Where to Shop this Christmas (Part 3)

During Christmas or Pasko, people love to beautify their homes and make it Christmassy. Apart from Christmas ornaments and lights, what are other decorations people can use?

It’s simple really.

Plants!

Now, this can be a good excuse to buy some new houseplants or if your home lacks greenery. The perfect place to visit is the Quezon Memorial Circle Plant Center. There are numerous stalls that offer an array of ornamental plants and orchids. As I always say in my Where to Shop this Christmas series (part 1 and part 2), have patience to walk around. Check out the different stalls and the plants they offer. Don’t forget to ask the price and compare.

Now if you already have plants but interested in replanting, you can search for pots instead. There are various colorful pots perfect for this holiday season. They also have gardening tools, fertilizers and soil available.

You might ask how to create a Christmas décor using real plants. You might also think that Poinsettia is the only plant perfect for Christmas. You are wrong. Simple houseplants are also perfect, you just need to unleash your creativity. Here are a few tips you can follow:

Lights – This is the most common décor for plants. But you can make it more interesting. Use one, two or many colorful lights on a certain part and so on.

Plant Christmas Decors (11)

Ribbons – You can use the wider ones for the Christmas tree or a narrow one if the plant is small. Wrap the ribbon around the plant or simply tie the ribbon on the stalk or the pot itself.

Balls – There are various sizes and shapes available. As much as possible choose the lighter ones to avoid hurting the plant.

Pots – Transfer the plant or plants in colorful pots and rearrange them accordingly.

Figurines – When you arrange the plants, you can add a figurine or a Santa Claus on the side.

It doesn’t matter what decorations you use on the plant, just make sure to take good care of it and water it.

Happy Christmas shopping!
