One Sunday morning, I woke up craving for a deliciously sweet hazelnut chocolate spread. Yes, I was in the mood for Nutella and I had to fulfill that craving. With the help of Google, I stumbled upon Pancake House. Thus, I had my early lunch with my grandmother and my ninong at their branch in Northridge Plaza, Congressional Avenue, Quezon City.
The Pancake House was established in 1970. Back then, only plain and flavored pancakes and waffles were served. At present, Pancake House continues to serve their well-known pancakes and waffles along with an array of exciting dishes. Despite the additional food in the menu, some things never change.
The restaurant’s cozy ambiance and the backdrop of movie posters remain. From the classic movie posters, you will now see movie posters that define this generation. Moreover, I appreciate the orange color scheme. By the way, did you know that orange is a power color? The orange color has the ability to increase the craving for food. Not only that, it also emits a positive and homey feeling and also stimulates creativity.
Browsing the menu, there were new and interesting dishes. I wasn’t sure what to choose, but below is the list of food we ate.
I think this was the second time I’ve tasted brown rice. Not many love or eat brown rice. But compare it with white rice, brown is healthier because it is rich in fibers and vitamins. I chose this not because I’m on a diet (yeah, right!) but I love the taste of brown rice. Not to mention, I love chicken fillet with a little spice. I’m not yet over with this dish, so next time I visit Pancake House I will definitely order Spicy Chicken Fillet with Brown Rice Pilaf again.
My grandmother ordered this one. Whenever we dine out, she always has something to say. I was a little shocked when she said she liked it and it was absolutely delicious. So, I tried it and she was right.
Yeah, it’s a typical meal or so I thought. Judging by how it looks, you’ll say I know how it tastes nothing special. You are wrong. It tastes different. It’s a mix of juicy, crunchy and flavorful. It’s definitely not like the others.
As mentioned earlier, I was craving for Nutella. Well, what do you know! Pancake House offers Banana Nutella Crisp Bacon Toast.
One word: Heavenly!
Just look at how delicious the Banana Nutella Crisp Bacon Toast is. It is sweet, savory and every bite makes me smile. If you want to eat at Pancake House, I recommend eating Banana Nutella Crisp Bacon Toast at the end. It will definitely leave a smile on your face.
