Loving Nanny Rose’s Gugo & Lawat Anti-hairfall Shampoo

A woman’s hair is her crowning glory. Whether long or short as long as it looks perfect, then no problem. However, there is a so-called hair fall.

Falling hair can be annoying. You can see strands of hair on your comb, pillow or clothes. Don’t fret because everyone experiences this. Of course, the cause of hair fall varies. But you can search for ways to control it perhaps by changing your shampoo.

Last December, I decided to look for a better shampoo. Everyone knows that it’s a difficult task. Even if a friend recommends a certain brand, it does not mean it will work for you. So I went to the mall and found Nanny Rose’s Gugo & Lawat Anti-hairfall Shampoo.

Gugo & Lawat
These are the keywords I was looking for. My grandmothers always say that back in the old days they only use natural hair care aids. The most common are gugo and lawat.

Gugo (Entada phaseoloides) is a large tree with substantial stems and barks. The plant grows in Mt. Banahaw in the Philippines. Gugo has the necessary properties to increase volume and strengthen the hair. Not only that, it also prevents the hair from falling.

Lawat (Litsea glutinosa), on the other hand, is a large twisting tree that has high saponin content. This compound is soapy and contains anti-oxidants which helps rejuvenate the scalp. As a result, it relieves itchiness and promotes hair growth.

The Shampoo
I have been using Nanny Rose’s Gugo & Lawat Anti-hairfall Shampoo since December. Actually, I don’t use it every day because it is also important to rest your scalp and hair once in a while. Over washing the hair leads to two things. One is severe dryness. Second is the absence of essential and natural oils that results to damaged hair. So work out a plan and choose which days you will rest you hair.

With Nanny Rose’s Gugo & Lawat Anti-hairfalll Shampoo, I use it every other day to every two days. Doing so lessens my hair fall. Besides that, it leaves the natural oils in my hair which I don’t find greasy. The shampoo’s lemongrass & grapefruit scent was a great help. If I don’t use the shampoo the next day, my hair smells fine.

The only problem I had with it is the bottle. The bottle design is simple; however, it’s difficult to squeeze out the shampoo.

If you want to try Nanny Rose’s Gugo & Lawat Anti-hairfalll Shampoo, you can buy the smaller bottle 100ml for 99 pesos. Since I have tried and found it perfect for my hair, I will be buying the bigger one 200ml for 185 pesos. You can shop this at Watsons or visit Nanny Rose.

I have been using it for more than a month now, coz I am having hair fall issues and tried different shampoos, and every time after I shower I will see my fallen hair like I was a sick person, so after using this I noticed great improvement, no more hair fall after showering. 🙂 Lucky i saw this at Watsons.

Hello I bought this shampoo together with Aloe Derma Conditioner. My question is should I use this everyday or alternately with my conditioner? Because what the saleslady said is I should only use shampoos atleast 3 times a month

          Hi Kristher,

Thank you for dropping by and leaving a message.

Regarding your question… I think it is important to know your hair type first. This will help you know which brand works best and determine how often you should use it. But as per their website this can be used daily.

In my case, I use this shampoo every other day and condition 1-2x a week. I also change shampoos after every bottle because my hair somewhat gets used to the formula. But this shampoo is in my trusted list so I still get to use this.

          Hope this helps! 🙂
